Your data stays on your device, encrypted. Anonymous use is a hands-on demo; once you want unlimited instruments, multi-currency, or cloud backup, register your email for a free trial.
Verifying your email starts a 3-month free trial of Pro — unlimited instruments, multi-currency conversion, encrypted cloud backup, and priority email support. No card required for the trial. We use your email only for licensing and the magic-link sign-in; we never see your financial data.
If you upgrade, you continue with Pro. If you don't, the app switches to read-only mode for your registered account: you can still view and export your data freely, but adding new entries or instruments pauses until you upgrade. Cloud backup and currency conversion are paused too. Want to keep going free? Sign out and use the app anonymously again — the 5-instrument single-currency cap returns.
We canonicalise emails (so john+work@gmail.com and j.o.h.n@gmail.com are treated as the same person) and treat one verified email as one trial. Disposable mailbox providers are also blocked. The intent isn't to police edge cases — it's to make the trial a real evaluation, not an indefinite free tier.
Yes. The anonymous tier — 5 instruments, one base currency, local-only — is permanent and ad-free. The trial flow is opt-in; you only see the paywall after you choose to register and use Pro features.
We use Stripe Checkout, which accepts major credit and debit cards plus a range of regional payment methods (Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA, iDEAL, and more depending on your country). Tax is calculated and shown before you confirm.
Open Settings → Account inside the app and tap 'Cancel subscription'. You keep Pro access until the end of the billing cycle you've already paid for, and we send a confirmation email. You can resubscribe any time without losing your data.
Open Settings → Account inside the app and tap 'Delete account'. We remove your account row, sessions, and license server-side. If you have an active subscription, it's scheduled to cancel at the end of the current billing cycle. Your local vault stays untouched — you can keep using ledgr anonymously, or wipe it from your browser settings.
Your local vault stays intact — we never touch it. After your paid period ends, your registered account drops back to read-only on this device so you can still see and export everything. You can resubscribe at any time to resume writing.
